Swim, Bike, Run...and Fight HIVAbout the AVIA Wildflower Triathlon
The Wildflower Triathlon is produced by Tri-California Events and is one of the largest triathlons in the world with 7,500 athletes and 30,000 spectators attending each year. It is known as the "Woodstock of Triathlons" for the festival-like atmosphere that surrounds the weekend. Participants camp on-site at Lake San Antonio for the weekend and enjoy the Wildflower Festival and Expo that runs during the weekend. The Long Course event (commonly referred to as Half-Ironman) takes place on Saturday with the Olympic Distance event following on Sunday. Both courses are great for beginners competing in their first triathlon as well as experienced triathletes.
